School is starting up again, and if there's one thing I have learned, it's that it sure is hard to be fashionable and comfortable/practical at the same time. It has taken me a long time to create the balance I've been searching for, but I believe I have found it and I would like to share my secrets with you... 1. The art of layeringThe number one, post important thing to remember when dressing for school is layering. Ever since I was little, my parents would dress tees under long sleeves under sweaters under jackets. This is so smart because you can take off layers if it gets warmer and put them back on if its cooler. I love to take this idea to a fashionable level by peeping collars and cuffs out of sweaters, piling on cardigans and scarfs, or boots over socks over tights. 2. the right shoesShoes are so important- your feet can affect your back which affects everything, so make sure your feet are happy before anything else. I would never wear heels to school, but I also don't love wearing tennis shoes. What I do love is a cute pair of flat shoes. I like my Converse All Stars or Vans when I want to tone down an especially girly outfit, and my oxfords or penny loafers when I'm looking to add extra class to jeans or an otherwise chill outfit. 3. the tee shirtEveryone loves a good tee shirt, a comfortable friend that goes with everything. Tees are great, but they don't always suffice when you want a next level look. The type of tees I have come to love can be either plain or striped in a semi-cropped style. I can pair them with jeans, leggings, skirts, and any type of shoes. Plus, they have all the comfort of your sports team tee. 4. The skater skirtThis is very simple. The skater skirt was very popular this summer and if you are like me, you probably stocked up. I don't want to stop wearing my beloved skirts, but I know It will get cold, so I have come up with a few tips:
Before we move on, I should tell you what fall colors are. Simply look at the leaves- reds, orange, yellow, gold, purples such as magenta, greys, and brown. overall Top it all off with warm sweaters and sweatshirts and classic wool pea coats!
